Born and raised in Western Washington, Clayton hit his first tennis ball at the age of 4. From there a deep love of tennis, and all racket sports, developed over time. At the age of 11 Clayton played in his first tennis tournament and couldn’t get enough of the joy and challenge of competition. Through his teenage years Clayton competed at the regional and national levels and earned a spot to play tennis for Pacific Lutheran University. While playing for PLU Clayton earned national rankings in both singles and doubles along with Sr. Athlete of the Year and All-American honors.

After college Clayton sharpened his coaching/teaching skills while working for various county clubs, high school tennis teams and for Pacific Luther University. Over time he has earned the Coach of the Year award (PLU) and coached various individuals and high school teams to state level championships.

With his three professional certifications (Tennis, Pickleball, Platform Tennis) Clayton looks forward to using his experience and training to help you sharpen your game while having fun along the way.
