Hike: Bozeman Creek/Sourdough Canyon
Date: Wednesday, May 31st
Time: Meet at the trailhead and be ready to hike at 8:30 a.m.
Difficulty: Easy; wide Forest Service road
Distance — 2 options…
5.8 miles RT (turning around at the outhouse) OR 9.6 miles RT (turning around at a wide bridge with benches, just before the trail starts climbing to Mystic Lake)
Estimated Time: 2 hrs 10 minutes (OR 3 hrs 15 minutes for the longer option)
Elevation Gain: 382’ for the shorter hike
Shade/sun: Mostly shady
Directions: From Main Street, head south on S. Church. Cross Kagy Blvd. and continue south on Sourdough Road. Pass by Triple Tree and eventually turn right onto Nash Road. Make a quick left onto Sourdough Canyon Road and continue to the very large parking lot and trailhead.
What to bring: As always, sunscreen, insect repellent, and plenty of water. Light jackets are always a good idea, but especially this time of year, our “rainy season.”
