Jeffrey Cranford graduated from Rice University in 1987, where he played on the golf team. He was introduced to Jesus by an attorney he met in a supermarket one evening in Houston, Texas.
Upon graduation, Jeffrey moved to the Palm Springs, Ca. area where he has resided for almost 35 years. In the mid 90’s, Jeffrey began teaching Bible studies in country clubs. Out of these studies, conducted in men’s locker rooms, homes or wherever people wanted to meet, Highways and Hedges was born.
As a member of the PGA of America, Jeffrey has served at some of the most prestigious clubs in the country, including The Vintage Club in Indian Wells, Ca., the Maroon Creek Club in Aspen, Co. and the La Quinta Hotel Golf Club in La Quinta, Ca.
Jeffrey has also played PGA Tour, Nike Tour, Nationwide Tour and European Tour events over the last 25 years. In 2000, Jeffrey won the Southern California PGA Championship which allowed him to play in the Buick Open at Torrey Pines, the Los Angeles Open and the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic. In 2006, he played in a major championship – the PGA Championship at Medinah in Chicago. He is often asked to lead various Bible studies including the PGA Tour Bible study, the Nationwide Tour Bible study and many others.
In 2007 Jeffrey agreed to merge Highways and Hedges with Links Players International and accepted the offer of President. He is leading efforts to launch a national campaign that intends to see market place Bible studies at golf courses around the world. Links Players currently has over 300 fellowships meeting in the United States with a presence in Russia, Germany, South Africa and a few other countries.
In addition to serving as President of Links Players International, Jeffrey also serves as Senior Pastor of Church at the Red Door in Palm Desert, Ca., as well as serving on the board of Israel College of the Bible, the largest seminary in the Middle East.
Jeffrey has been married for 28 years to his wife Laura and they have three daughters and now 2 sons-in-law. Recently Jeffrey and his wife have become a grandparents as well.
