Pool Manager

The Pool Manager for Riverside Country Club must possess at least two years of experience and thorough knowledge of all aspects of an aquatics center.  This includes safety practices, equipment operation, and water chemistry for this seasonal position; approximately May 15 to Sept. 15.  Additionally, the Pool Manager must have very strong oral and written communication skills and be able to assist in the planning and organizing of aquatic events. Availability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.  Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR certification required.

Major Functions

The Pool Manager reports to the General Manager of Riverside Country Club.  The primary responsibilities of the position are to provide a safe, clean, enjoyable aquatic experience for the members and guests.


  1. Hires, trains, supervise and motivate a staff of people capable of carrying out their respective duties in maintaining a professional image in keeping with the high standards of a private club.Performs employee evaluations per company policy.
  2. Assists in maintaining proper chemical balance in pools and in maintaining mechanical equipment in coordination with specifications.Maintains and keeps all records in accordance to county and state requirements.
  3. Provides a clean, neat, orderly and safe environment for members and guests to enjoy the pool facilities.
  4. Assists in the planning and organizing, and execution of pool events.
  5. Oversees swimming lesson programs and other aquatic programs as necessary.
  6. Maintains register of swimmers at the pool and reports on number of visitors daily, weekly, and monthly.
  7. Operates within an approved operating and capital budget.
  8. Performs all other duties as assigned.
